Clotted blood spill gracing muddied ground
Organs splayed, their bowels hanging limp from emptied gut
Burning bolts catch our rib cage; brothers are scorched alive
The feted stench of death hanging thick upon the air, rigor of lost kin set in
We are swiftly reduced to none, my nearing death now realized
Defeated upon my knees, I am to die, the vermin surrounding
Encircled, spears gaining ground toward my throat, bloodletting to begin
Turning inward, I feel my cold blade puncture the bowel
Twisting skyward, now offering the fatal tear
To my brothers in the life after death
