Best Summer Ever Lyrics by The Active Set

11

2011

Fell in love with a perfect girl
Should have noticed and tried to pay more attention to her
Love that simple can be hard to find
Open-minded, it's a nice way of calling me clueless, she called me clueless
If everything happens for a reason, why on earth did I have to push my luck?
Perfect eyes and a perfect stare
I remember hearing that I was her 'soul mate,' that's what she said to me
If everything happens for a reason, why on earth did I have to push my luck?
Once I thought about a different future then I saw the fool that I had been
Met someone at a coffee shop, it didn't work 'cuz her life was frantic
Met someone in a parking lot, it didn't work 'cuz her eyes did wander
Met someone at a singles bar, it didn't work 'cuz her clock was ticking
Met someone at a casting call, it didn't work 'cuz she couldn't stop acting
Saw my girl unexpectedly and she saw I had learned my lesson
Took my hand and she took me home, and I fell in love with a perfect girl once more
