The Person I Thought I Knew Lyrics by BEGINNERS

If the World is Ending - EP

2022

First glance, dove into the deep end
Love the way you think
Making plans for every weekend
We spent every waking hour
Fingers in your hair
Confessing all our secrets
Ooh, I got it bad
Like I could cry
Can't take it back
'Cause lately, our love's a wasteland
Tastes like a bad dream
Come true
If this is you
If this is you
I love you, but I'll let you go if it's true
If this is you
If this is you
If this is you, ooh
If this is you
I guess you're not the person I thought I knew
We keep dancing 'round the reasons
I can feel you leaving
Tell me what you'rе thinking
Bend me the way you want to
Friеnds say I should leave you
I don't have the heart to
Ooh, I got it bad
Like I could cry
Can't take it back
'Cause lately, our love's a wasteland
Tastes like a bad dream
Come true
If this is you
If this is you
I love you, but I'll let you go if it's true
If this is you
If this is you
If this is you, ooh
If this is you
I guess you're not the person I thought I knew
Said we were in this together
Using words like "forever"
How could you be so cold?
And how could I stay?
If this is you
If this is you
I love you, but I'll let you go if it's true
If this is you
If this is you
If this is you, ooh
If this is you
I guess you're not the person I thought I knew
