Always Lyrics by The Blinders

Beholder

2023

[Verse 1]
Head is a mess and the moment is gone
Can't even find the words to say it wrong
Feel like my body's old and grown tired of the thrill
What is it exactly that you're trying to kill?
I'll cut them down, no mercy shown
Never seen the back of this bloodied hand, have you, son?
If I go, if my temper shows
If I've lost my way then surely heaven knows
[Chorus]
You're always at the root of my mind when I'm feeling down
Always at the root of my mind when I'm feeling down
My body's on the ceiling and my head is sinking into the ground
Always at the root of my mind when I'm feeling down
[Verse 2]
I feel like I'm failing, can't pull it together
At a time whеn I need to be me more than еver
What If I don't come, come back from this place?
Ah, I look in the mirror, see the lines on my face
And the lines they have lines as the thoughts come to surface
We had it so long, yeah, it was so fucking perfect
This is just a feeling that I cannot shake
Getting harder and harder to come back from this lonesome place
[Chorus]
At the root of my mind when I'm feeling down
You're always at the root of my mind when I'm feeling down
My body's on the ceiling and my head is sinking into the ground
You're always at the root of my mind when I'm feeling down, down
[Outro]
Shouldering your burdens, and you're shouldering mine
Though neither's are being solved time after time
But one look in your eye and to me it's so clear
I'm always reminded why I hold you so dear
I'm always reminded why I hold you so dear
Yes, I'm always reminded why I hold you so dear, always
