First train to Cal-i-for-nia
There must be some-thing in Cal-i-for-nia
There must be mag-ic ev-'ry where
For a friend of mine just left for Cal-i-for-nia
I hope she finds that she'll be hap-pi-er out there
2nd Verse
I helped her board the train this morn-ing
She turned and smiled, and said " Good-bye"
Though she nev-er real-ly knew why she was leav-ing
I think she'll find that when she gets there she'll know why
Chorus
She's on the first train to Cal-i-for-nia
She's on her way. First train to Cal-i-for-nia today
3rd Verse
I nev-er trav-eled to Cal-i-for-nia
Though it seems like ev'ry one's been there
I've just nev-er had the time for Cal-i-for-nia
I think the time has come to find a way out there
I'm on the First train to Cal-i-for-nia, I'm on my way
First train to Cal-i-for-nia today
First train to Cal-i-for-nia, I'm on my way
First train to Cal-i-for-nia, Today
First train to Cal-i-for-nia, I'm on my way
First train to Cal-i-for-nia , I'm on my way. Cal-i-for-nia
