Sunny Days Lyrics by The Original Rudeboys

This Life

2012

Sunny days are shining, Nowhere else to be
Sitting round just rhyming but your not here to see
Drinking till the end, missing my old friend
Drinking till the end, missing my old friend
I got the phone call man it hit me hard that night
Like somethings up, yiz have it wrong
This shite can’t be right
Was only yesterday we talked about the lads and stuff
The walks home from nights out looking nothing but rough
See we’d be walking mad slow laughing the night away
That by the time we got home the night had turned to day
Me i’d be bitching bout birds and other stuff the like
You’d just smile back and laugh saying shits alright
The Bulmers light you said was your drink of choice
Got me a bottle I was hooked that stuff was proper nice
Had every second bird asking me who’s your mate
And i’d be proud as day to say that’s me cousin he’s great
You had a way with the birds always hooking me up but
They were more into you always fucking me up
Proper legend in this world I wish I just coulda showed ye
Honoured to be your blood, I’m just happy I knowed ye
Sunny days are shining, Nowhere else to be
Sitting round just rhyming but your not here to see
Drinking till the end, missing my old friend
Drinking till the end, missing my old friend
I think about ye every night like not a day goes by
Or at times when i’m alone and no one knows quite why
What I would do for a chance to see ye smile again
Or reverse the hands of time to where it all began
Now all i’ve got is pictures and memories of the past
The only downside to life is that it’s moving to fast
So i’ll miss you but let ye go to that unkown place
Then all I hope is where you are
You’ve got a smile on your face
Bottle of Bulmers in hand pumping out this track
Watching over your friends and family
And having their back
Seeing the lads speak about ye and missing ye loads
Doing the drunk walk home reminiscing on roads
Or having free gaffs talking bout your jersey being framed
Your only downfall was Arsenal you should be ashamed
A proper legend in this world I wish I just coulda should ye
Honoured to be your blood I’m just happy I knowed ye
Sunny days are shining, Nowhere else to be
Sitting round just rhyming but your not here to see
Drinking till the end, missing my old friend
Drinking till the end, missing my old friend
