Plateau Lyrics by The Pink Lemons

Saturday Ease

2020

[Intro]
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah ...
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah ...
Ah, ah ...
Ah, ah, ah ...
[Verse 1]
Pink skies, cold air, your hand on the liquor
Damaged hair and lazy eyes, your smile’s gettin bigger
I felt so alone like an empty shoe waiting in a store only for you
I wanna have you close, I wanna carry you
I know you like plateaus and I like you too
[Chorus]
Only you can read my soul
Hold me tight and don’t let go
Lift me up and carry me inside your pocket hole
And I know it’s sad to say
But I’ll tell you anyway
I will always have you in mine too everywhere I go
[Verse 2]
My arms feel cold but you cannot hug me
We’ll be all grey and old and I think it’s very likely
That I will look at you and you’ll inspire me
To go looking for the truth and maybe I will see
My way out of this tragedy, honey
[Solo]
(Instrumental)
[Chorus]
Only you can read my soul
Hold me tight and don’t let go
Lift me up and carry me inside your pocket hole
And I know it’s sad to say
But I’ll tell you anyway
I will always have you in mine too everywhere I go
