[Intro: Offbeat, Sharleena Ray & Pye]
Yeah Swingers, haha
Yo, we're still messing with ya
Uh, aiyyo it's Off the Beat
Sharleena and the P-Y-E (Still here, yeeah)
I got Awesome Wells here with me
[scratch noises]
Still doing that huh PYE?
Oh fo' sho'
Yeah, check me out
[Verse 1: Offbeat & Sharleena Ray, & Pye]
I said it's still Dre, swingers - but wait swingers
Before you start complaining and claiming that this is sacred
This track's one of my favorites, plus you know the greatest
Form of flattery available is imitation
Fans will pay homage, but haters will be dissing us
Then the analytics show that they're our top listeners
They wanna know what we'll say next
They say this track’s changed, nah it's just been updated
So if you ain't up on things
Dr. Dre - wait I mean Offbeat is the name
I'm still hopping on stage, still dropping these flames
Still swinging like Tarzan wife-swapping with Jane
Still rocking pinstripes and not chains
Still love the original, but think that this version's insane
Still, the beats swing, still doing our thing
In the style only we can bring (still)
[Chorus: Offbeat, Sharleena Ray & Pye]
I'm representing all the Swingers all across the globe (still)
Everybody whether young or old (still)
The Swinghoppers, yeah we're bringing the heat
And we still got love for the scene, it's the P-Y-E
I'm representing all the Swingers all across the globe (still)
Everybody whether young or old (still)
The Swinghoppers, yeah we're bringing the heat
And we still got love for the scene, it's the P-Y-E
[Verse 2: Offbeat]
Since the last time you heard from me, I made some friends
Pye and Sharleena, now I'm rollin' with them
Kept my ear to the ground, found Awesome Wells
And now, we unite to bring that brand new sound (still)
I rapped since I was a kid
I quit for a bit, but then my friend introduced me to swing
My life's like a soundtrack to a Godfather flick
'Cause just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in
Wake up in the AM, compose some bars
I got the lyrics that you're spitting when you're sitting in your car
Shoot, it's not a fluke I've been grinding, believe me
Since Just Clicked on the first Peoplewatching EP
I'm still at it, like a bad habit
In the home of acts just like Massive
Banksy, strong cider and bad accents
I show love and I get love
[Chorus: Offbeat, Sharleena Ray & Pye]
I'm representing all the Swingers all across the globe (still)
Everybody whether young or old (still)
The Swinghoppers, yeah we're bringing the heat
And we still got love for the scene, it's the P-Y-E
I'm representing all the Swingers all across the globe (still)
Everybody whether young or old (still)
The Swinghoppers, yeah we're bringing the heat
And we still got love for the scene, it's the P-Y-E
[Verse 3: Offbeat & Sharleena Ray]
It ain't nothing but tunes that crowds know
Another free EP for you to download
And although very generous is how it appears
The truth is, we just couldn't get the samples cleared
I'm representing all the Swingers all across the globe (still)
Everybody whether young or old
Fans go mad when they hear us spin this track
Suckers wanna be the king, but the Swingpin's back
So if you ain't up on things
Offbeat, still ripping off Dre with no shame
Still I got it wrapped like fajitas
Still ain't tripping, love to meet fans when they come and see us
And we're rocking a spot, heads are nodding a lot
And these people never want us to stop, when it comes to bars
They're like the opposite of Jonathan Ross
'Cause they’ve got no problem with ours (still)
[Chorus: Offbeat, Sharleena Ray & Pye]
I'm representing all the Swingers all across the globe (still)
Everybody whether young or old (still)
The Swinghoppers, yeah we're bringing the heat
And we still got love for the scene, it's the P-Y-E
I'm representing all the Swingers all across the globe (still)
Everybody whether young or old (still)
The Swinghoppers, yeah we're bringing the heat
And we still got love for the scene, it's the P-Y-E
