Black King Lyrics by @TheOfficialYoungProphet

3Trac

2017

Aye they told me I couldn't make it
They told me I was stupid
They said I couldn't do it
But I kept moving
Despite the conditions in front of me I broke traditions
I never stayed the same
Instead I stuck out no doubt I was left alone but I stayed true to me
True you see
A black boy
Similar to many others in this room
Nappy hair and skinny legs
With a strong infrastructure
Because I went through pain
Pain of my ancestors
My daddy my gramps
My greats
And on my shoulders I hold the pain of their inconsequential fates
Which is heavy indeed
But most importantly I wrote this poem not because of my ancestors
Not because I favor people in this room
I wrote this poem because i'm different
And that difference takes place in my brain
How I talk
How I think
How I perceive things is what makes me the best
How I rap
How I write
Is what makes me different and stick out from the rest
How I deal with this stress
Being pressed and repressed is how I stick out
Within a drought
I never shout I work to get myself out
Despite the condition, situation, or disadvantages of me I work until the end
So you people can see, I'm a hungry beast that won’t accept defeat
Unlike other people when I start to lose I don't retreat
I just go harder and that's because of my genes
I am the ultimate creation
Of Cedick and Bridgetta
And theirs
No one
No one
That will ever be better
I am 92100
I am the boy that will spread his wings
To be with Kings of my craft
Of the dream I hold
Untold
Was the story of me to those who quit
The story of the hoodlum
The Less fortunate
The Raggedy tragedy
That was born poor
But to this day God told that Kid
It'll be no more
No more hungry, nights heated car drives with no AC
No more I can't afford
Because what I want it'll be
You see
I'm different
I’m king
I’m the one who will control everything
I am Kayton Thadious Clinkscales
And that's the black king
