King of the Dead City Lyrics by Travesty

Dark Above, Sun Below

2016

Escape from me! Run
Bow down to me! Now
I am your king! Hail
King of the dead city
Wasteland
Ruins and dead bodies all around me, that's my realm
Kingdom
Everything that you can see, is made from just one dream
A dream of a world without lies and corruption
So I've taken down what's left of your salvation
To live means to die
To live means to kill
The new world order
Came up to that thrill
Freedom
In my new world without law everybody is free
Utopia
Just a lie but after all you still believe it
I tear you out from the inside till there is nothing left
All this happens in your head like you create it
Behold, a storm
Is coming
Losing grip
Once and for all
I am king, and you will not escape
Whatever you do
I won't rest until you break
A crown for a ruler, see how he approves
In this crown lies madness, and madness is you
This city of wastelands inside my head has fallen
My mind is shattered and memories were stolen
The chaos does not vanish from my side
There is no strength behind a mask made of pride
I am king, and you will not escape
Whatever you do
I won't rest until you break
A crown for a ruler, see how he approves
In this crown lies madness, and madness is you
I am king, and you will not escape
Whatever you do
I won't rest until you break
A crown for a ruler, see how he approves
In this crown lies madness, and madness is you
