Promises Lyrics by Trisha Alicia

2016

Verse 1:
I can’t forget the promises
The promises of changing
The promise to be loosed from the sinful life & chains man…
He told me he took water, then he made it into wine
Was the first doctor in history to give sight back to the blind
Didn’t, major in optometry but he can clear your vision, see
He’s the one I run to when this old life is phasing me
Won't turn, stop, sway, quit, fold, bend, break
Pause, no
Let up, let go, fire burning in my soul
Chorus
This little light of mine
I’m gonna let it shine
You’ll get the glory out my life!
This little light of mine
I’m gonna let it shine
You’ll get the glory out my life!
Verse 2:
I can’t forget the promises, the promises of change and
The promise that my life, ain’t left up to simple chance man
Inventor of the slogan, “my word is my bond”
His word, separated earth from sea, without a magic wand
Best, life fixer upper, yeah, he’s a master carpenter
Constantly building me without any lumber
Won’t retreat, withdraw, back track, renege, resign
He said my future is all mine!
Chorus
This little light of mine
I’m gonna let it shine
You’ll get the glory out my life!
This little light of mine
I’m gonna let it shine
You’ll get the glory out my life!
Canton:
Yeah, every promise is Amen, follow the light, the devil be darker than Ray Ban’s. If you in trouble and even if not, just pray man. Fullness of joy in the presence of clapping and raised hands. Jesus the star. And me and my family we stay fans. THE PRESENCE IS FREE BUT WE ARE WILLING TO PAY BANS for a chance to DANCE in the presence of the Most High, I’m LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST NOW MUST DIE … Every time I tell my story you get glory, I never worry, cuz I got my hand in your hands. Yeah! Any situation, no hesitation, no condemnation, I just do what you say and I stand! This little light of mine! I’m gonna let it shine! This little light of mine!
Vamp/Special:
Won’t stop! Can’t quit! Won’t run away!
Won’t stop! Can’t quit! Won’t run away!
Won’t stop! Can’t quit! Won’t run away!
Won’t run away, Won’t run away!
Won’t stop! Can’t quit! Won’t run away!
Won’t stop! Can’t quit! Won’t run away!
Won’t stop! Can’t quit! Won’t run away!
Won’t run away, Won’t run away
Chorus
This little light of mine
I’m gonna let it shine
You’ll get the glory out my life!
This little light of mine
I’m gonna let it shine
You’ll get the glory out my life!
