Followers of Christ Lyrics by Twinkie Clark

Twinkie Clark Terrell Presents The Florida A&M University Gospel Choir

1998

[Intro]
We have a message to tell you
Jesus Christ, he is the answer for you
I have a light and I'm gonna let it shine
I'm a follower of Christ
I'm a follower of Christ
[Verse]
Living in a dark world, chilly and cold
We need to lift up a standard
Calling on the young and the old
They are all longing, longing to
Love him and keep them
Those who are not ashamed to praise his holy name
[Chorus]
We have a message you
(Don't you know Jesus Christ)
Jesus Christ, he is the answer for you
(I have a light)
I have a light
(And I)
And I'm gonna let it shine
I'm a follower of Christ
I'm a follower of Christ
[Bridge]
I'm not ashamed of
(I'm not ashamed of)
The gospel
(The gospel)
For it's the power
(For it is the power)
Of God
(Of God)
I'll be a witness (I'm gonna be a witness)
Wherever I go (wherever I go)
I'm a follower of Christ
I'm a follower of Christ
I'm not ashamed of
(I'm not ashamed of)
The gospel
(The gospel)
For it's the power
(For it is the power)
Of God
I'll be a witness
(I'm gonna be a witness)
Wherever I go (I go)
I'm a follower of Christ
I'm a follower of Christ
[Ending]
Of Christ
(I am a follower)
Of Christ
(I am a follower)
Of Christ
(I am a follower)
Of Christ
(Go where you want me to go, do what you want me to do)
Of Christ
(Say what you want me to say)
Of Christ
(Of Christ)
Of Christ
Of Chris
(Of Christ)
Of Christ
(I've got to be a witness)
Of Christ
(I've got to be a witness)
Of Christ
(I told the Lord that I would follow him)
Of Jesus Christ
Of Christ
(I'll go where you want me to go)
Of Christ
(I'm gonna do what you want me to do)
Of Christ
(I'm gonna say how you want me to say)
Of Jesus Christ
(I'm gonna sound how you want me to sound)
Of Christ

Of Jesus Christ
Of Christ
(I'm gonna put the world behind me)
Of Christ
