Blacks were top, now we down bottom
People doing good? The haters done shot them
What's the cause, why the hate? Why must we obliterate
Our neighbors and our classmates, with bullets that penetrate
And decimate our carnal state?
Can we stop it? What does it take?
These gangsters out here do not care
It ain't fair to live in fear
The works of the insane give us all a bad name
We blame the white man, he ain't sell you that dope
A bullet killed your mans, he wasn't hung up by no rope
We claim that we're united, honestly that's all a joke
Yo I look at all my people and I feel there is no hope
Cuz more blacks kill blacks than blacks killed by the Klan
Yet we so quick to point our fingers at the white man
Racism goes both ways, remember that or live a life
Filled with strife, filled with pain
Making you feel that you have to blame
The lighter race who takes the place of the real ones that cause you hurt-
Our own people, dead and gone, six feet underneath the dirt
Buried after being carried to the cemetery by the hearse
I want to say we're improving, but in my mind, we're getting worse
People dying over nothing, figures out here steady fronting
Like the banging and slanging, hittin' these kittens
Claiming a life that they ain't living
Claiming a life they know nothing about
Just to get some clout!
I blame it on the rappers, I blame it on the trappers
I blame it on the posers who some really good actors
I blame it on the parents, I blame it on the tv
But also I'm going to put the blame partially on me
Cuz I see all the pain, I see what can be gained
But I'm sitting in my house and I ain't doing a dang thang!
Indifference to ignorance proliferates the negligence that's causing interference in the peace of my existence!
