Don’t Funk Up Our Beats 7 Entry MattRedd Lyrics by viisi

0

Back widda backpack / no-one woulda thought that I coulda brought rap back to the forefront for my city and turned into something biggie / shy as fuck and took the fire burning to inspire kids / woke up one day tired as shit and stopped dreaming put the pillow aside to start gleaming cause this ain't just a thought no more it's internal feeling/ burning/ breathing/ the cherning feeling before a show cause i'm nervous as fuck BUT I KILL IT EVERYTIME LIKE PERFECT AS FUCK / SO UH /
Listen
There he goes again / tryna' grow the rose again / nose to the stone no one knows if he's ever been / normal / tryna capture beauty from the rubble an old soul who can barley grow stubble / stay humble and subtle cause you never expect the shy kid to come back with a loud FUCK YOU but for everyone who stuck through / I love you /
Excuse me why can't you see the beauty thats all around you? I guess I understand it/ took me too long to see the same thing but i'm glad I did it / i'm mad I didn't / see it sooner I took the big picture and I blew it up to see it huger a kid growin' up as a loser/ helluva / unusa-wul / so I took the balooga bull and I put it to the side / here I come to the finish line going so fast that i'm leaving skittish lines / god damn everybodies gotta be a critic fine but just know that i'm gonna take your "constructive critisism" and build a wall up while I lol at you tryna crawl up just to tell me that MY wall sucks
So
Writin and recordin' till the night that I perform it not doin' this is another form of torment and I know that I look foreign and act like i'm important when I know that i'm just broing but got sick of havin' everbodies two pennies but my own opinion can't afford it and if I could count the nights that I spent rappin' till the morning or the sleepless nights thinking about the lyrics that i've been hordin' knowin' that when I drop em your jaw'll be droppin
The game I sat back and just absorbed it and let orbit around my head until I thought I had a good grasp on/ fascinated by rap made it exactly what I wanted and loved the gasps created by and the gap created and not a nap was taken/ unless you sleepin' on me and in if thats the case then grab your pyjamas we jammin'
