All the luck, and not a cop around to control us
Spencer dropped us home
We jumped, waved and cheered as we watched that boy go
I hope he makes it back around the liquor store, before they find him. Katie turned to me and said
"I'll make you a wish if you make one for me
In all my life, I ever felt so free as with him."
"Your burning hole," I said
I wish upon it all the power of gold
And don't doubt that a decent town would like to hold it
I laughed, and grabbed her, and pulled her down
She smiled softly
Katie held off the whole damned town
And now she's holding me
