A Matter of Taste Lyrics by Villagers

Mountain out of a Molehill / A Matter of Taste

2024

[Verse 1]
Open your eyes
To a sharp and sober stream of curiosity
And luminosity
They anaesthetised you
It was touch and go for a little while but you're free now
'Cause you can see now
[Chorus]
That it's a matter of taste
That salty, sour, bitter, sweet, umami
It's a matter of taste
So get out of your own way
Get out of your own way today
[Verse 2]
We're floating in space
On a mesomeric, atmospheric entity
Feel the gravity
And this is the place
It could be heaven, hell or somewhere in between them
Just don't demean them
[Chorus]
'Cause it's a matter of taste
That salty, sour, bitter, sweet, umami
It's a matter of taste
So get out of your own way
Get out of your own way today
[Bridge]
Now looking back, do you recall
Just when exactly did the mask become the face?
They hypnotized you and compromised you
But you're out of the race now
'Cause it's a matter of taste
[Outro]
It's a matter of taste
So get out of your own way
Get out of your own way today
Get out of your own way
