KNOW. Lyrics by WhoseURS

this is not a fun place to be

2018

[Verse 1]
Coffee and ramen I boil the water
My pockets and diet they seem to get smaller
As my visions get bigger the bullshit I'm seeing
Im saying gotta get back to the scenes I envision
Resurrecting the me that was hidden
Address me as URS with the writtens thats hitting
Ain't a joke we not riffing just ripping
With the mic in my hand I'm just spitting
Whose with the packs keep it kicking
Whose with the drums keep it knocking
Whose with the vibe keep it stocked
Do it for the desert off top
I got love for the city the bay and the bridge
The city's the one that taught me live
The desert the ones that taught me feel
My mind and my spirit are the only equals
[Hook 1]
I want the city to know
I want the city to move
I want the city to bounce
I want this city around
I want the desert to know
I'm staying cool and I'm bringing the snow
This for the kids that are stuck in the house
I want the desert to bounce
When I come back y'all still be around
[Verse 2]
I want this city around
But what seems to surround me
Is people astounded
I see the life it once had packed kicked off of the island
Walking the streets all I see are people on sidewalks surviving
I'm just a kid with tuition I blatantly try to ignore it
Question the color the city once had where do they store it
Their running like paint into tents picture reflected auroras
With the desert on watch they saying someone please show us
Fuck a corporation saying that all of you owe us
This shit been lit since the 90s before I was knighted
Or going out nightly
The youth is whats poppin so running your mouth to a cop will not stop em
Give em an outlet and see where the kids gonna go
Their the ones putting money in the hands of the city of festivals
[Hook 2]
I want the city to know
I want the city to move
I want the city to bounce
I want this city around
I want the desert to know
I'm staying cool and I'm bringing the snow
This for the kids that are stuck in the house
I want the desert to bounce
When I come back y'all still be around
[Outro]
I want the desert to know
I want the desert to move
I want the desert to bounce
I want the desert to pop
I want the city to know
I'm bringing the heat don't get lost in the fog
This for the color that's draining from ya
I wish the city survive
When I come to rock I hope your alive
