What Matters? Lyrics by WVS aka Lil Lurk

These Months Are the Coldest

2019

[Hook]
Leave my home to chase what matters
But don't forget where I'm from
Leave my love so it won't matter
Right now I'm forever young
[Verse 1]
So lemme know watchu see
Is it grim and bleak?
Like jumping off of a balcony that was just out of arms reach
Or is it alive and free?
Nowadays shit just ain't cheap
And these day I know who I be
Real me up in that front seat
And I'm focused all on my dreams
Good kush venting with my team
The way we work like machines
The way we talk of hood dreams
While tokin' on a B in the middle of the street
Ain't shit change haven't seen you in weeks
Know that time goes fast
So I take shit slow
Nah fuck alla dat
Wus good?
Let's go
If i'm home for the weekend
Make sure that you hit my line
Save some for weekend
We get high n then intertwine
You know u fuckin' with a demon
But don't let this chance pass by
Cuz I could save you
Superruined
Rearrange ya
Now you know
[Hook]
Leave my home to chase what matters
But don't forget where i'm from
Leave my love so it won't matter
Right now I'm forever young
[Verse 2]
Leaving home to chase what matters
What's the matter when nothing's the matter?
Don't know why but it fucking matters
Kids out there are so embarrassed
To be who they be
Can't fucking stand it
You look at me like so pathetic
Cuz I "wouldn't know how it feels in the deep end"
Listen to the words
You forgot one secret
I am the one that feels the deepest
Had one wish used it to see them
Look
My family in the sky
My homies underground
I never made a noise
I just wrote it down
I just wrote it down
You can hear it in my voice
You can feel it in the sound
That I had never meant to ever let you down
To ever let you down
[Hook 2]
Leave my home to chase what matters
What matters?
What matters?
Leave my love so it won't matter
It won't matter
It won't matter
[Verse 3]
My hands hurt and my wrist tired
Eyes shank and my dick numb
It's 3 AM but the blinds closed
Smoke break and Super Smash Bros
Wet dreams of super cash flow
You know all we desire
Now please can we get higher
We frequent frequent flyers
I know they gonna hate this
They did so much lets face it
Who the fuck I think I'm foolin'?
There's kids out there that listen
To all that shit we doin'
Like my nephews and my cousins
Man I don't know I'm buzzin'
I wanna change the subject
But fuck
