XP: #1: Song Structuring Lyrics by wvw

Questions About Transcriptions (QAT)

2024

Hi! Here's an example song for this exercise.

Version 1

[Verse 1]
There is nobody else in the room % L1
That's made of the fabric % L2
That you use to string together your view % L3
Of someone wanting to touch you % L4
To give you words to % L5
To corrupt a page % L6

Version 2

[Verse 1]
There is nobody else in the room that's made of
The fabric that you use to string together your view
Of someone wanting to touch you to give you words to
To corrupt a page

XP:

The "Of someone wanting to touch you" in Line 4 Version 1 gives a hint to merge the next line (Line 5). This is also now used to revise merging Line 1 and where it felt like the line truly ends and start a new Line 2.
Version 1

[Chorus]
I won't help you clear your lenses % L7
As you look for % L8
The right person to say the wrong things to % L9

Version 2

[Chorus]
I won't help you clear your lenses as you look for
The right person to say the wrong things to

XP: Sounds like a continuation instead of a line break so Line 7 and 8 gets merged.
Version 1

[Verse 2]
I don't need you to tell me % L1
About the nature of people % L2
The people walking on cracked sidewalks % L3
They're always waiting for buses % L4
That never come % L5
And they'll never take you anywhere % L6

[Chorus]
I won't help you clear your lenses % L7
As you look for % L8
The right person to say the wrong things to % L9

Version 2

[Verse 2]
I don't need you to tell me about the nature
Of people, the people walking on cracked sidewalks
They're always waiting for buses that never come
And they'll never take you anywhere

[Chorus]
I won't help you clear your lenses as you look for
The right person to say the wrong things to

XP: Same reason as in [Verse 1] and earlier [Chorus]
Version 1

[Refrain]
So I need you to get out of my house % L10
Get out of my house % L11
Get out of my house % L12
Get out of my house % L13
Get out of my house % L14
So get out of my house % L15
Get out of my house % L16

Version 2

[Refrain]
So I need you
To get out of my house, get out of my house
Get out of my house, get out of my house
Get out of my house, so get out of my house
Get out of my house

XP: There's a pause in Line 10 after "you" that sounds more of a line break, so that was dropped down. Also, it sound like it's being paired thus the revision.
[Instrumental Break]

[Outro]
The end of the earth is a long way to follow me
The end of the earth is a long, long way to walk
The end of the earth will leave me wanting
The end of the earth will leave me lonely
Should there be an [Instrumental Outro]? Per the guide; it currently being less than a minute that can be left blank. Also, what about an [Instrumental Break]? Because it has to be played between different sections or a build up to another section, and there's no section afterwards in this case; this shouldn't be included either.
