The Dream Lyrics by Young Deuces

Son of a Soldier

2019

Martin was an inspiration/
Did everything that he could think of just to save The nation/
But there was evil in this world them niggas out there hating/
Cause they ain’t never understand what type of bout they facing/
See I’m just tryna push the message he was out here preaching/
As a youngin,it was my pops that put me on his teaching/
History repeats it self, and now its looking grim/
Should be united, but the chances of that looking slim, is us vs them
And I dont see perfect ending/
I'm sending prayers hoping God forgive me for my sinning/
We cope with losing when we really should be used to Winning/
I turn these dreams into reality you see the vision?  I just need me a minute
Motivation, We hope of for progress, to move the culture/
We used to kicking rocks but as a fam we moving boulders/
Keep an eye out for them vultures, cause them snakes is always creepin/
Police is power trippin an they waiting on a reason/
They think it’s open season, they gone paint it as you reach in/
Tell the news, my nigga do you understand the games not even/
I’m seein what they dealt us, and I’m pushing for the change/
More respect to our Queens, more support for our Kings/
Protected by any means, mind sharper than a needle/
Empower black businesses investing in my people/
Put money in the hood, I’m tryna change the vicious circle/
Look I’m just recognizing that the game is out to hurt you/
This knowledge came failure, so I’m sharing all my lessons/
I see what can reach so now I’m handing out these blessing/
I’m talking Black Excellence, everything we creating/
You fucking right I’m praising, For everyone in my nation/
You fucking right I’m caping for every women of color/
I’m pushing for black love, I’m standing strong with my brothers/
It’s power in the people, my nigga you see it/
You asking for a change but my nigga we gotta be it/
I’m saying This the dream I dream/
Black royalty I’m saying you should my team/
In order to be King ima need my Queen/
And y’all gone feel everything that my team might bring/
I’m saying This the dream I dream/
Black royalty I’m saying you should my team/
In order to be King ima need my Queen/
And y’all gone feel everything that my team might bring/
