Back To Basics Lyrics by Young Joshua

Back to Reality

0

VERSE 1: We gotta bring it back to the basics / grasp and embrace Him / ceasing the hating / worshiping in Spirit and in truth without faking / practicing patience / living righteous outside of hitting up stages / life beyond raps like passing out tracts / life beyond tracts like studying the facts / studying facts like all our buddies from Acts / following them in their tracks like fam see and taste this / basics like prayer and meditation / not only when we need something and not only on special occasions / walking without fear we the bravest / bring it back to the Bible on the daily like we crave this / .. with some faith like Job / transition minds from the lies they were told / there's no time to sit back and let your arms fold / let's grow let's show our God can still save souls //
HOOK: In our school's in our job's man / they need to know about our God man / let's bring it back to the basics / bring it back to the basics / from the burbs to the hood man / let's lift Christ like we should man / let's bring it back to the basics / bring it back to the basics //
VERSE 2: Let's take it back to when we eat sleep and breathe this / tryna please Jesus like yo man He freed us / walking out our faith like we believe this / faith to the pavement / bold with giving them something we ain't ashamed with / accountability and dedication / too much time's been wasted they dying come off your vacations / they mock Christ and hate Him they think He's a fraud / let's get equipped with the Scripts show them Jesus is God / too many Christians cocky they got mad knowledge from their top theologians but their walk's still sloppy / pride is the factor for all of you actors that say you on the frontline but back down or back up / cats stuck in the four walls of the church building / Mark 16:15 y'all reveal Him / let's live like we feel Him we're sealed with the Spirit man / walk this preach this like they need to hear it man //
VERSE 3: Let's take it back to the basics back to the basement / praying with a prayer group praying for the faithless / back to the unity (back to the unity) / let's bring it back to the unity (let's bring it back to the unity) / let's bring it back to forgiveness / humbling ourselves with some real true repentance / remembering our time on this earth is just a visit so watch how you spend it / it's more than just a title y'all / live like a Christian // let's bring it back to where we die for the faith counting everything as loss to put God on display / man please we just servants // it's till the death with this / let's bring it back to where we gave God our best with this / back to the outreach out teaching not keeping our God a secret they need to see Him / and our objective is to please Him / before He comes back / it's been too long God it's like come back //
