Great Expectations Lyrics by YourWelcome Shon

Voices

2016

[Intro]
Aya ya ya ya ya ya ya
Aya ya ya ya ya ya ya
Aya ya ya ya ya ya ya
Aya ya ya ya ya ya ya
Work hard, feed the fam
Get this money, be the man
Grab a shorty, Leaning grams
Need to party, Be the man
[Verse]
I was birthed on schedule
Me and mothers first and grandmother's first, cursed
Cause I was, birthed on a pedestal
Felt like the golden child
My daddy always used to ask
What's your goal then, child
But I was rapping and flowing
I'm literally top of my class
I'm the valedictorian
Oh you think you know everything
Oh yea, oh yea, oh yea
Oh you think you live in a dream
Oh yea, oh yea, oh yea
I promise it's more than it seems
Oh yea, oh yea, oh yea
Oh naive, so naive
I believed that I could have the whole world figured out
But that's what they teach you, it's pure in itself
Be sure of yourself, don't ever have doubts
So take your time but finish first
I'm placing second, hate possessions
Get this work, cure this cancer
Love your mother, get the girl
Then another, then another
Wanna play humble but I'm feeling on a high
Wanting me to smile but I'm feeling like it hurts
Sit and listen, hear 'em spitting contradictions
My position, I'm about to go beserk
[bridge]
And they say you need the looks
(Great decorations)
And they say you need the books
(Great education)
And they say they want a show
(Great presentation)
Oh I know, Oh I know
Great expectations
[Chorus]
Aye aye ya
Aye aye ya
Aye aye
Great expectations
Aye aye ya
Aye aye ya
Aye
Great expectations
[Outro]
Aya ya ya ya ya ya ya
Great expectations
Aya ya ya ya ya ya ya
Great expectations
Aya ya ya ya ya ya ya
Great expectations
Aya ya ya ya ya ya ya
Great expectations
