Level Up Lyrics by YXL

2022

[Intro]
If life is like a game
Then I'm running in first place, hey
[Verse 1]
I got a lot to say
Get these bars off my chest like a bench press
I don't wanna play
Any games but if I do I don't lose I just win this
Got the beat going dumb
'Cause I'm feeling stupendous
When I'm in this
Got the people going drunk
'Cause the bars are endless
Lord help us
Oh I'm hoping that you won't be sad
I know it's bad but I don't relax
When I'm going at 'em
'Cause I'm showing that
The flow is at their throats
And that I'll go attack
With no remorse about it
But more than that important fact
The point is that I'll go surpass
My past with actions that
Will go enact the goals I have
No going back
Support the fortunes that I've amassed
[Hook]
If life is like a game
Then I'm running in first place, hey
Take control
I don't do no simulatin'
Check the score, get some coins
That's the basics
Level up, level up
Do I really have to say this
[Verse 2]
Everything I do, everything I say
On a different level, every single day
People always talkin bout the hate they face
But nah wait, I can't relate
Feeling sentimental bout the olden days
When my biggest flex was my golden grades
I was holding A's like I owned the Braves
I know, lame, but I don't complain
'Cause the past is passed
Don't need to look back
Pack my bags
To hit a new path
'Cause I'd rather have
To rap to make a bag
Than have an average life
And that's a fact
So the main thing I'm saying is
Be careful who you playing with
And if you think that you're winning
We must be playing a different game bitch
[Hook]
If life is like a game
Then I'm running in first place, hey
Take control
I don't do no simulatin'
Check the score, get some coins
That's the basics
Level up, level up
Do I really have to say this
[Verse 3]
Ok I gotta be the
Top commodity 'cause
Labels keep calling me
Offer money for a part of me
But wait do I wanna be
Giving up my autonomy
On a piece of paper that possibly
Might punish me
If my songs aren't streamed
Nah man I'm tired of seeing
People ripped off so I gotta be
Independent for the time being
Sorry take my apologies
But honestly if the dollars be
Adding up then undoubtedly
I'll sign that dotted line 'cause either way
My people proud of me
[Outro]
If life is like a game
Then I'm running in first place
