Numb Lyrics by Zachary Cole

Ivory

2021

[Verse 1]
Saw you in the halls today
You wore the same outfit that you wore
Yesterday
I'm not sure if you're just a friend
I'd like more but I think we know how it ends
We flirt, then we kiss, then we cry
And then we do it all over again
[Refrain]
Now I'm numb
You make me numb
[Verse 2]
Today you had a smiley face
On Saturday it'll be just the same
You'll be there but I don't know if your heart will
You shed a tear
But don't you cry my dear
Read my lips when you taste them
If it's not real then fake it
I want you to hurt me baby
[Refrain]
And make me numb
You make me numb
[Chorus]
I love it when you squish your face into your
Pillowcase
And though sometimes your hairs a mess
You'll always look beautiful in a dress
And I don't think that you'll ever understand
That even when you've got a different man
I'll still be the one that plans to hold your hand
And now I'm--
[Verse 3]
And when you strum your ukulele
It makes me crazy
Your lipstick is my favorite bit
Tonight your hair is beautifully lit
And you said you were cold
So I gave you my jacket
We went back to your place, we pet your cat
And all you did was lay on the carpet
[Refrain]
Getting numb
Make me numb
[Chorus]
I love it when you squish your face into your
Pillowcase
And though sometimes your hairs a mess
You'll always look beautiful in a dress
And I don't think that you'll ever understand
That even when you've got a different man
I'll still be the one that plans to hold your hand
And now I'm numb
You make numb
