Matter Of Genitalia Lyrics by Avant Gardeners

Avant Gardeners

2024

Are you unaware of that-
I will repeat what I just said
You said that you're a trans woman?
A trans female, yes sir
Do you have a penis?
[Chorus Instrumental]
(Disgusting!)
(Disgusting!)
That you can look me in the eyes and say that I'm not being oppressed at this school!
[Verse 1]
Are you telling us that you're unfamiliar with the large body of medical evidence of the harm that is come upon these people that have gone through these processes?
I'm familiar with the lar-
I'm familiar with the large body of evidеnce that shows that providing good, affirming care saves livеs
Are you saying that-
I will repeat what I just said
Are you u-
Are you saying that you're-
I will repeat what I just said
Are you u-
Are you saying that you're-
I will repeat what I just said
Are you u-
Are you saying that you're-
I will repeat what I just
-peat what I just, -peat what I just
-peat what I just, -peat what I just
[Chorus Instrumental]
(Disgusting!)
(Disgusting!)
(Disgusting!)
(Disgusting!)
And it is extremely disgusting!
(May I ask you to refrain, refrain..)
That you can look me in the eyes and say that I'm not being oppressed at this school!
My kids are-
(Keep it down! You will be asked to leave!)
(Please sit down)
It has to stop! This is the indoctrination!
(We are going to ask for a slight adjournment)
There is no such thing as a gay agenda!
[Verse 2]
We're here today to discuss which books are indoctrinating and sexualizing our children
Your library has a book called "The Dinosaur Olympics"
And you know who else competes in this book? Wooly Mammoths!
Really?!
You're worried about trans women in sports
Meanwhile your kid is running around saying "Pterodactyl is my favorite dinosaur"
Wake up!
I think we're all here for the same reason
Is because we want to see children safe
This gay agenda is getting out of control
8% of Americans identify as gay
I read books with gay characters when I was a kid, and it didn't affect me 'cause I'm straight
Same way that, like, I read books with dragons in it
It didn't affect me because I wasn't a dragon
Y'know these gay kids that live in our district
Without a point of reference they'll probably just think that they are.. broken in some way
That they're weird, right?
'Cause when I read a book, I feel very grounded in the idea that, like, "Oh yeah, this is me"
But if a gay kid doesn't have gay role models, they're-
Do you think that's why the suicide rate is so much higher among queer youth?
Because there's voices condemning them for something they can't help?
If a kid sees a gay character and says "that's me", that's probably a part of them, right?
It didn't change them, it's just something that's already there
So, I guess, really the neutral thing, if we want to protect our children, would just be to leave the books alone
That's why those kids keep calling me a Nazi, because I burn books!
Dammit!
Please, he didn't mean it
He didn't mean it!
I'm the bigot!!
[Chorus Instrumental]
(Disgusting!)
(Disgusting!)
(Disgusting!)
(Disgusting!)
[Bridge]
I came here not to fight, but to make peace
How am I gonna do that?
Well, I'm gonna tell a story
I always chose dresses, makeup..
Makeup, wigs, and dolls
My first Halloween costume that I chose to do was a Zombie Vampire Bride
So weird, right? Who thinks of that?
Well, I did
I remember the first dress I wore was a pretty, white gown
When I wore it, it felt special
Not like anything else
It was the best feeling
It felt like magic
[Outro]
Are there any other questions?
