Backsliding Lyrics by aya (UK)

im hole

2021

Find me backsliding
Find me undermined
Find me a rose gold underside
Pass round the fiver
This herd ain't immune
A chaos rune
Come back soon
Find us driving the session into extra time
I take the piss into the breeze
So it seems
I'm all split at the seams again
But at one with my undone sister and they/them
Our fingers slip the needle for the rehem
We keep an even level near clipping for a weekend
Anothеr day if God sends
"steady fading" the first password in thеse ends
Kez Palais, it was so flagrant
We stan a bold statement
Salt bae with pinch on the slate
Bout an inch off half a foot but I'd take an acre
Feel the curse as it deepens, gets worse
But it only seems fair
It only seems fair
Inertia throws me back into the chair
Inertia throws my back into the chair
I can't see straight but I feel you're all still there
I hold my hands out and hope you're all still there
It's been four years now that i've been changing places
Evading faces, saving graces
Elegiac susurrations bubble up
But if we grip we set the pace
It's to be of neither dust nor goop
Neither fuss nor stupor
We'd go to mush, trust, when it's all fucked in the back room of Soup
I missed A Party Called: True
I can't believe that that's true
My last night indoors and it's my absence i'll rue
So i stare into primrose, into peach, into the midnight blue
The view from the 8th floor and Emley mast lights the moor
I'll miss this golden hour down the corridor
Some nights the light hits just right
Some nights the light hits just right
Hands out to taste
I slip the grip and hope the times right
