Double Trouble Lyrics by Beat by Beat Press

The Claw A New Children’s Musical

2021

[Wallee]
A long long time ago back in nineteen, ninety four. A time when us beanies were all the rage!
[El]
Two toys from this here claw game left together through that door~
[Mo]
Their story we present now on our stage! A five, six, seven, eight!
[Wallee]
There was a kitty-
[El]
Oh, no I thought it was a cat?
[Mo]
It was a lion
[El]
Right!
[Mo]
A friendly lion named Pat!
[Wallee]
Well Pat the friendly lion was friends with a fish
[Mo and El]
And these very best of friends they had a simple wish!
[Wallee]
They madе a promise-
[El]
No your wrong they made a vow-
[Mo]
Thеy signed a contract! It doesn't matter, anyhow~
[Wallee]
They swore they would try a move that'd never been done
[Beanie Elders]
Their adventure had just begun! They did the Double Trouble! Two toys taken instead of one! They did the Double Trouble! And bing-bang-ba-da-da-da what do you know they did it!
[Aiden]
HOW did they do it?
[Walle]
How? They practiced
It took a month of practice-
[El]
No I thought it took a year-
[Mo]
IT TOOK A DECADE
[Wallee]
What?
[Mo]
Hey its just what I hear...
[Wallee]
And after all the practice they knew it was time
[Beanie Elders]
To lay it all out on the line! They did the Double Trouble! Two toys take instead of one! They did the Double Trouble! And bing-bang-ba-da-da-da what do you know they did it!
[Dot]
We get that they did it but how do WE do it?
[Wallee]
Oh you mean the three step formula to pull off the double trouble?
[El]
Now thats something we actually agree on
[Mo]
Listen up and write this down kid!
[Beanie Elders]
Step one- They struck their pose just right!
Step two- They held on tight
Step three- They were ready to go
And that my friends is all you need to know!
[Dot]
Thats definitly not all we-
[Beanie Elders]
They did the Double Trouble! Two toys taken instead of one! They did the Double Trouble!
[Dot]
Wait what do you mean they were ready to go?-
[Beanie Elders]
Key-change!
Double Trouble
We've been real clear so theres nothing to fear. They did the Double Trouble!
Goodluck kids! We gotta fly. You're on your own now
Goodbye~
And bing-bang-ba-da-da-da what do you know they did it!
