Bad News Lyrics by Butterfingers (AUS)

Bad News

2020

[Intro]
(I love being the one to bare the bad news)
[Verse 1]
Used to be friends, chillin' on the weekend
Now we ain't speakin'
Didn't even see things going off the deep end
'Til I heard about you and my girlfriend cheatin'
But you were like a big bro to me, so I kept ya close to me, socially
And being so naive, I gave you both the [?]
But you broke the [?] stole ten G
[?] to eat
Couldn't believe that it'd ever go so deep
And еmotionally I had a bone to [?]
But I couldn't get off from on the bus that I was [?]
Should'vе had you Mozambique'd
Let 'em known what you sow, you reap
Chose to be weak, word [?]
Now to watch you fall [?]
[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause I've got weight on my shoulders
That just about push me five feet under
But now I'm drivin' the motors
They're gonna strike like lightning, clack like thunder
Feels like I've been collecting a massive inconvenient truth
For a friendship I got no respect in
So I love being the one to bare the bad news
[Chorus]
The bad news
The one to bare the bad news
The bad news
The one to bare the bad news
[Verse 2]
When he threw those arms
Putting a new spin on news from the past
Told [?]
Now the crew just laughs at your stupid ass, and
All the shade you used to cast makes way for the truth at last
Everybody knows that to keep you close is a fruitless task
We've seen through the mask
And we make friends slow, lose them fast
All I do is approve my craft
Make my way back into their heart
[?] these charts, spitting these words
Flipping this bird at the crews of [?]
Killing all rumours at the [?]
Setting things straight for the haters and the mates who felt too rude to ask
[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause I've got weight on my shoulders
That just about push me five feet under
But now I'm drivin' the motors
They're gonna strike like lightning, clack like thunder
Feels like I've been collecting a massive inconvenient truth
For a friendship I got no respect in
So I love being the one to bare the bad news
[Chorus]
The bad news
The one to bare the bad news
The bad news
The one to bare the bad news
[Verse 3]
Some people wanna call this gossip
Other people call it [?] and Freud
I'm talking truth about someone who wasn't
So those opinions are null and void
I ain't here to try and start no witch hunt
I don't needa see your life destroyed
But when I hear that you've had a run of shit, love
Don't expect I'm gonna hide my joy
[Pre-Chorus]
'Cause I've got weight on my shoulders
That just about push me five feet under
But now I'm drivin' the motors
They're gonna strike like lightning, clack like thunder
Feels like I've been collecting a massive inconvenient truth
For a friendship I got no respect in
So I love being the one to bare the bad news
[Chorus]
The bad news
The one to bare the bad news
The bad news
The one to bare the bad news
The bad news
The one to bare the bad news
The bad news
The one to bare the bad news
