Evergreen Lyrics by Camira The Rapper

Angel Number 456

2019

VERSE 1
I always knew
You'd miss us when we're up and gone
And I ain't fuckin wrong
Coz we stopped our run
And it seemed that the scene
Was fucking done
I can't believe you're who I'd leave
To try and move like me
See I sat back and watched
Before I stepped to bat
The same seven cats
Rock a show that's never packed
Every couple weeks
Petty cash, won't get it back
Tell me how you're tryna be a pro
With unperfected tracks
And boy you never pulled a crowd
Accept the fact
That you won't ever be the next
In fact, your best is wack
I made a conscious fucking effort
Respect the rap
Never speak a breath of bad
To those who couldn't check me back
But when Zed, made me see
They're out their depth with that
It was another Aussie banned
I went all Temper Trap
Despite the fact they left the 6
My bros will get my back
The real ones feel us
Coz we were something special man
HOOK
Out the blue
Never seen, we weren't meant to be
But we meant more to this city than you'll ever be
It ain't ever green
I'll tell you what it meant to me
You wasted the best damn thing
You'll ever see
Out the blue
Never seen, we weren't meant to be
But we meant more to this city than you'll ever be
It ain't ever green
I'll tell you what it meant to me
You wasted the best damn thing
You'll ever see
VERSE 2
I started getting round
And things were getting loud
My Battle of the Beasts show
A buck fifty, every crowd
I did numbers for that club so much
They pinned me down
And offered me a managers job
And they put pennies down
I said forget it
And worked with every show designed
To deal in a full house
Like it was poker night
Being real, I don't regret it
But I know at times
That mouthy younger version of me
He wasn't always right
But we were great for biz
And you should know just why
I think some egos got in the way
And closed an open blind
We rocked the Four Owls and Common
Swift and Obie Trice
But I got a sour taste
It's been a hopeless grind
Now I'm a grown man
I stand here on my own, man
No longer mad about this scene
That made a broke, man
There's no hate in my heart
Just some lessons learned
Bridges that I stepped on burned
With riches that I never earned
HOOK
Out the blue
Never seen, we weren't meant to be
But we meant more to this city than you'll ever be
It ain't ever green
I'll tell you what it meant to me
You wasted the best damn thing
You'll ever see
Out the blue
Never seen, we weren't meant to be
But we meant more to this city than you'll ever be
It ain't ever green
I'll tell you what it meant to me
You wasted the best damn thing
You'll ever see
