Go Back Lyrics by Claybank

No Escape

2018

[Verse 1]
As I drive along this dirt thoughts come rushing to my mind
When I was a boy back in 1969
We didn't have much money but we didn't feel so poor
The coffin had each other and that's what family's for
[Chorus]
Go back, go back to that home place of mine
Running through the backyard, playing in the pines
My memories so sweet come rushing back to me
When I go back in my memory
[Verse 2]
The ol' house is gone now, it's just a memory
Mom and Dad are gone too, they rest in Jesus
Nine girls and two boys, they gave us all they had
We all have a good time whenever we go back
[Chorus]
Go back, go back to that home place of mine
Running through the backyard, playing in the pines
My memories so sweet come rushing back to me
When I go back in my memory
[Interlude]
[Chorus]
Go back, go back to that home place of mine
Running through the backyard, playing in the pines
My memories so sweet come rushing back to me
When I go back in my memory
My memories so sweet come rushing back to me
When I go back in my memory
