Back Porch People Lyrics by Colleen Kitchen

Back Porch People

2021

[Verse 1: Colleen Kitchen]
Summertime comes ‘round again
Countryside blooming’ with hope
Can we do like we did in 2019?
Government’s still sayin’, “NOPE!” (So we’ll be…..)
[Chorus: Colleen Kitchen]
Back Porch People, Living Small
Sippin’ on a summertime beer
Lubin’ up the bike, and dragging on a blunt
And sticking pretty close to here
[Verse 2: Colleen Kitchen]
Why do we travel in summer at all?
Why hop a plane and take flight?
Let’s skip the noise, and hassle and fear
And be in the moment tonight
[Chorus: Colleen Kitchen]
Back Porch People, living small
Sippin’ on a summertime beer
Lubin’ up the bike, and dragging on a blunt
And sticking pretty close to here
[Bridge: Colleen Kitchen]
Back Porch People: Come, set a spell
Back Porch People: We’ve all been through hell
[Instrumental Break]
[Verse 1: Colleen Kitchen]
Summertime comes ‘round again
Countryside blooming’ with hope
Can we do like we did in 2019?
Government’s still sayin’, “NOPE!” (So we’ll be…..)
[Chorus: Colleen Kitchen]
Back Porch People, Living Small
Sippin’ on a summertime beer
Lubin’ up the bike, and dragging on a blunt
And sticking pretty close to here
[Bridge: Colleen Kitchen]
Back Porch People: Come, set a spell
Back Porch People: We’ve all been through hell
