Taking photos in nature is something I love to do. In this episode, I will be talking about how I take my photos, and how you can take your own photos just with your phone

I started taking photos in March. Right when school shut down for me. I just love taking photos, it’s a nice way to keep me busy, and it’s always fun to look at the photos later and just see how amazing they are. I also love editing photos, too. You can do all sorts of things like brightening up the colors a little, bring out the detail and so much more. Therе was one photo that I took of a beautiful vibrant orange flower in front of a mansion. The Sayre (SAIR) Mansion in the Lehigh Valley. It was a beautiful day, the clouds were amazing, the sky was amazing and I saw that flower and I knew there was something special about. I went over there with my camera, oh by the way, you might be surprised, but I only use an iPhone to take my pictures. Anyway, I walked over to the little group of flowers, I bend down, almost below the flower, and I take that wonderful picture with the sky, flower, and the mansion. Next up, I am going to talk about how you can edit and take photos, just from your phone

First, you need to find a subject in nature that you would like to capture. Is it a tree? Maybe some flowers. Or, an animal in nature. Once you have that idea, start figuring out if you would like to make it shot in the daytime, or closer to evening, or maybe even a night shot. Once you’re there, and you’ve found it, just start taking pictures even if the subject isn’t close to you. Try not to zoom in because that decreases the quality. If you have a separate lens that allows you get close up shots or really detailed shots, don’t be shy to use that. Once you got all the photos that you wanted, now it’s time to start editing. There are many editing softwares out there, but I think the editor on your phone or your computer is fine. If the photo is too dark or too bright, use the exposure control. If you would like to bring out the color of something, use highlights saturation or vibrance. Once you’re done with that, you’re photo ready to share! Share it friends, family, anyone that you think would like the photo

I love nature so much that I have written a couple of short stories about them. One, titled Grounded, is a short story about kid named Oakley who hates school. When school shuts down, report cards were given out. When his parents saw the bad grades, Oakley knew he was in trouble. When he was grounded and forced to clean the house, the first place he cleaned was the attic. While cleaning, he saw a camera! And that was when his love of photography began. He went out every day to take photos and explore nature. That’s a big transformation from a kid addicted to video games to now addicted to nature. Another story that I wrote called The Happy Accident, is about a kid who has severe allergies. Every day he has a couple sneezing fits. That prevents him from taking photos. All the photos are shaky. One day, he goes to a lavender field and accidently takes the best picture that he's ever taken before. A vibrant cardinal perched on the lavender.
