Stardom Status Lyrics by HixMusi

STRZ

2024

[Intro]
Don't care
[Verse 1]
Uh, I can’t stress enough how much I’m loving this life
The time was right now it’s time to fly
Relied on myself didn’t need niggas help
I DIY’d and God pulled me out of hell
Well all I’m waiting for is to reach stardom status
That Los Angeles hell that each of us are craving
But before I soliloquy what I have been planning
I wanna take a good took at the evolution of the planet
Y-73 the birth of rap and sams
Disco dancing not thinking about it’s influence
Blow spitting MJ like flows to me
I can see how we got here so clearly
Hard times gave birth to niggas with bars
Think Nas think Pac dilemmas akin to ours
Relate or not cassette went hard in the boombox
As a Brit I wish my country could show each others more love
Bling bling and shit south has hella bitches
Talking rich shit while the newcomers were blogging
Mixtapes for free rising to the top
Wish I was a teen when the Control verse dropped
Stop with all those drums just do the hi-hats
Boom Bap is for conscious, trap is for billboard stats
Used to rhyme to trendy rap like verses from Fetty Wap
Fast Forward now just look at where we’re at
[Verse 2]
12 to 13 I made my first set of beats
16 I paid to get everything on DSPs
Dropped an EP an album was meant to follow that release
18 now so thankful I let that shit rest in peace
For real
Way too niche and way too unpolished
This made for me fucking around with sonics
Grow the catalog noting what happens in log
Better to jog than stay here and do nothing
Really interests me in the upcoming rap game
Just for a second look at the present landscape
I dissed the new nigga on August 28th
A few months later his status has decayed
Who’s going be the young leader for this decade
Ain’t no way I will be, just a guy from the UK
I say and I believe that it will be in a weird place
Once our faves are expired or at worst in the grave
The new underground acts ain’t new more
Sure they’re all great but what at what cost
Consistently stuck between mainstream and underground
Why so complacent homie you’re meant to be heard loud
Well I guess promoting coke doesn’t really get you there
I am blessed to with no drugs, gang life or fear
[Verse 3]
Yet but who knows what is coming near
Fuck doing those it’s only up from here
Actually grinds my gears when you don’t have any ideas
Whatchu mean you’re not clear on your future career
I write a DearFutureMe when I’m calm or crazy
Giving him a sight visualising the old me
Currently in college, too much spending too much loving
SOUR ORs tracklist is currently how I’m feeling
I’m happier that’s good for ya
Feel rich like some steak and some caviar
I’m an all star that relies on nostalgia
A dreamer with executions that will kill ya
[Outro]
And I know
And I know
And I know
And I-
