A Heart Like Abraham Lyrics by Jeff & Sheri Easter

Shining Through

0

Although it wasn't easy
To lay their dreams aside
He was a man of God
And she was a Godly wife
So when they heard Him call them
They knew what they must do
And they answered without question
To a missionary's life
After thirty years of hard work
In a Texas border town
Giving all they have
To keep the hungry fed
Two modern unsung heroes
The world may never know
They still labor for the Lord
Out of love with no regret
Oh, they truly have a heart like Abraham
Sacrificing dreams unselfishly
Oh, Lord, teach me
To have a heart like Abraham
The kind of heart a loyal servant needs
If we long to stand before Him
And see Him face to face
And hear our blessed Savior say, "well done"
Then we must heed the calling
By giving our whole life
To the service of our Father
For the purpose of His Son
Oh, Lord, teach us
To have a heart like Abraham
Sacrificing dreams unselfishly
Oh, Lord, teach us
To have a heart like Abraham
The kind of heart a loyal servant needs
Oh, Lord, teach us
To have a heart like Abraham
Sacrificing dreams unselfishly
Oh, Lord, teach us
To have a heart like Abraham
The kind of heart a loyal servant needs
