Junkie Lyrics by Jimmy Jackson

Rollin’ Dice

0

[Intro]
Everybody, please listen, especially the junkie
Dope is death, you've been a damn fool shootin' your brains out
And most people didn't care if you live or die
But I've got something to say
[Chorus 1]
Junkie (Junkie)
I said junkie (Junkie)
Standin' on the corner (Hoo)
And livin' the life of a low down dog
And beggin' for a quarter, huh
The man is diggin' on you (Junkie)
To see if you'll make your move (Junkie)
The pusher just wants his bread (Junkie)
He don't care if you're livin' or dead-a (Junkie)
[Verse 1]
Listеn, get off your backside and do a little somеthin'
Do it to save a life-a (Hoo)
The rich man's winnin', the pushers all grinnin'
At a funky junkie who just ain't right, huh
But all you do is cop out bad
And blame all society
You're just a-livin' in a trumped up a-make believe world
So face your reality
[Chorus 2]
I said junkie (Junkie)
I said junkie (Junkie)
Everybody don't care, huh (Hoo)
So open your eyes to the food that do
These people are the soul rare
I said junkie (Junkie)
I said junkie (Junkie)
Stop makin' up excuses, huh (Hoo)
And take my advice and save a life-a
You don't need another fix-a, hoo
[Verse 2]
Get off your backside and do a little somethin'
Do it to save a life-a (Hoo)
The rich man's winnin', the pushers all grinnin'
At a funky junkie who ain't right, huh
But all you do is cop out bad
And you blame all society
You're just a-livin' in a trumped up a-make believe world-a
So face your reality, oh hey
[Verse 3]
Huh, I break down (Junkie)
Ooh, it kills
Got to tell you now-a-now-a-now-a-now (Heroin)
No good, my friend (Skag)
You don't need another bag (Cocaine)
Ow, it gets your nose (Coke)
Huh, it gets the brain (Pills)
The wrong ones will drive
Got-to-got-to say it (Uh)
They a-destroy the mind, woo (Pills)
Stay away from the wrong kind-a (Down)
They'll a-put you six feet in the ground, speed, it kills (Speed)
But all you do is cop out bad
And blame all society
You're just a-livin' in a trumped up a-make believe world-a
So face your reality
[Chorus 3]
I said junkie (Junkie)
I said junkie (Junkie)
Everybody don't care (Hoo)
So get off that big old backside of yours
And dig the ones that do care
I said junkie (Junkie)
I said junkie (Junkie)
Stop shootin' in the galleria (Hoo)
Your stealin' and muggin' done took someone's life-a
Lay off the white lady, huh
[Verse 4]
Oh my god, oh you look so bad
Standin' on the corner and noddin'
You know, you think you're cool
We keep your card, but you look like a fool
So get off your backside
And do a little somethin' to save a life-a
Save your life-a, teach these kids
Take care of business, oh
You can run but you can not hide-a, huh
In yourself, or in your hide
Stop theivin'-a, stop a-runnin'-a
Stop muggin'-a, stop killin', oh, stop killin
You are killin' yourself-uh, you are killin' yourself
Got-to-got-to-got-to-got-to tell you now
If you got a junkie in your family
Or if you know someone who's on drugs
For god's sakes, reach out, and save his life
Because god loves us all, ah Jehovah
Oh, you love us all
