Millennial Lyrics by Matt Currie

2016

I apologise for a lack of culture, confused by conflicting views subjective truth, bemused, by news, media, sides to choose, so choose wisely, otherwise, they may choose for you

Condemning blue ties, why? 'Coz I don't wanna be dictated by a shiny headed devil in disguise, who lies and lies, deprives innocent lives, distant, give man his power he deploys a system, a system that benefits him and all of his peers, then commits genocide, disguised as a career, fear, kills, control, still, works, words from millennial hurt, worse days ahead

Raise the debt, mental health on razor edge, new age raised to respect men in blazers yes, but if you don't serve purpose, they contemplate your death. May you rest in peace. Blue, white and red

I'll either die at 27 or make heaven on earth, try to inspire a change, or put your head in the dirt, the former will invigorate, give you merit and worth, the latter is an epidemic, humanities biggest curse

NHS, privatised, older age voter's wise, would you still vote Tory, if your kid committed suicide? I doubt that

Serious lack of human rights, everybody's in the gutter, looking up, but the stars hide

Rhetoric that's better, they avoid the insight, talking, balance the books, to make economy strive, but economics is a concept, we are actually alive

I prefer love to what motivates these other guys

Try to be mindful, bypass the lies, and a line, with the truth, you will find all knowledge isn't power, despite what they write

We buy things we don't need
With money we don't have, to impress the people we don't like

Everybody dying of the same thing, everybody trying to be happy, tired of complaining, asylum to your mind, distraction for escaping, alcohol is legal, look at all the people fading

Maybe if I travel, maybe if I'd seen god, maybe if I was a millionaire and had a dream job, waste of time to think external stimuli will make it better, you have to delve inside if you want to create a mecca

I apologise for a lack of culture, but I understand the human mind, and human kind is everywhere

The struggle needs a dialect, 'coz when the struggle is reversed it's like the butterfly effect!
