I feel like death can come any time
Faster than we expect
And everyone just wants to have the best of this life while they’re here and the best of the next life when they go
And I feel like, in this, what I found, I found
A way to find this success, this happiness
And I just want to share it with the people
So this is what I do
And I use film and sound because I feel like the people I’m trying to reach out to are the type of people who would rather
Just watch something or listen to something
Rather than pick up a book and learn something.
So, this is what I do man
In the film industry, I’m known as my birth name, Ashley Chin
And in this Islamic poetry scene, I go by my chosen name, Muslim Belal.
So this is just an introduction tryna bring the two worlds together
