The air becomes cold- the light all but drowned The bugs and the birds don't dare make a sound The bitter breeze reeks of corpses amassed The Grand Demon Silver is near at long last He shows his face- glowing eyes and a grin Sloan must hold his fear and nausea within Isaac steps up- it's too late to back down And shouts out, wearing a disgusted frown "To you we are nothing but canvas for curse Well I am immune and he's wearing your worst So your curse is bunk, and the myths are all moot Now what have you got that's worth my commute!?" Silver is unscathed, and his grin is unphased "You couldn't count across all of our hands How many have stood right there where you stand And sworn that they would be the death of me Until their shouts shifted from threats to pleas" Sloan tells Isaac his magic is drained "I could have sworn that I'd have enough retained But with Ghenim's spell you can win- no doubt" And with that Sloan falls and passes out Isaac charges, feigns left but leaps right His blade finds flesh- a successful sleight Silver counters with a slash to the back The attack leaves Isaac's armor cracked They parry one another, blow for blow It's clear that each has found a fierce foe But in a split second, with guard neglected Isaac is downed by a blow fully connected Silver smashes with a meteor's might Isaac feels the full force of the smite "Your protective spell will fade tonight I might wait it out, just out of spite!" Having acquired a brand new scar Isaac reflects on the events thus far "Could this be how this story ends? We both die here and the demon wins? I hate that beast! I want his head My every fiber wants him dead! But now I see that all along I have been completely wrong With rage burning deep within I see now I cannot win" Isaac rises, to Silver's surprise "Now where is that fire in your eyes? How pathetic- you've given in Any second now the pleading begins" "You're right. The fire I had has burnt out Because that's not what this fight is about I'm calm and I’m glad that I get to slay you And reunite a father with his daughter too If I'm confident and clear, I will have my way How silly to be saved by such a cliché And as I speak I see you lose your fire too But I don't see it turning out so well for you" Sheer force won’t do, a calm mind must preserve And Silver's huge power now fails to unnerve Isaac brings down his blade- Silver reaches to block But his arm is severed- his eyes widen in shock With composure, content, Isaac readies the coup de grace But as he goes to swing, he finds his arm to be locked Sloan’s frozen Isaac and Silver as well When Isaac comes to, the demon’s been dispelled The Grand Soul is gone, and there's no sign of Sloan Isaac sets out to find out where he’s gone
