A Better Place Lyrics by RayClev

The Calm Storm

0

Intro:
Aye where you trying to go?
Aye where you trying to be?
Aye where you trying to go? X2
Verse 1
I want to wake up around 2 up in the afternoon
& not trip about getting ready for work soon
But where I'm from that's even if you find employment
But it's for the money, it's not for your enjoyment
I want to be in Cancun watching the sun rise
On the beach, with a bad Brazilian broad by my side
But instead I'm here where every girl claims their seldom
But quick to leave you if you can't afford to get their nails done
Hoping i switch places, shift over
& blind the person that's in front of me when i turn my wrist over
Rather hear a crowd ask me for an encore
Then hear my fam say it's something they ain't got time for
I want fans at my concerts tailgating
Bad broads with dirty thoughts at my hotel waiting
Hear them say they love me? I know they're lying
Would feel good to let them in, but feel better to deny them
Damn, I used to want my name in the lights
But I can't afford the bill if my soul is the price
The pen appointed me, i just evolve when i write
Elevate, flight, they need to understand it takes light
Look, I sign off, never will I sign here
I denounce this world's glory when I rhyme here
I was selected to be neglected, least suggested
But hold the deepest message, but they ain't interested
So I'm left wondering how
Should I dumb down my lyrics, should i change up my style?
Wow, I really got to downgrade to get the green?
I ain't never heard of underachieving to reach a dream
See this money ain't a matter of urgency
But currently my currency is in a state of emergency
See I ain't desperate to make a transition
& why when reality neglects my ambition
Reflects a failed mission, rejects me when I'm wishing
Why shoot for the stars when I always run out of ammunition
Don't want to be a nominee on them award shows
Don't need to hear once, that the award goes...
To me RayClev, for his heart, & his devotion
Clean with every word spoken, never heard of boasting
Please excuse me for my thoughts & emotions
Mixture of truth & pain, faith over being hopeless
Outro:
Wordz of Guns:
Aye where you trying to go?
To a better place
Aye where you trying to be?
Just in a better place
Aye where you trying to go?
To a better place
Where you wanna be?
In a better place
A better place x4
RayClev:
We as a people it's time to grow
So hands up, heads high if you trying to go !
