I’m Not Obsessed With You Lyrics by Salty Vixen

2024

[Verse 1:]
Let me tell you a story, one that’s long overdue
A tale of twisted nights, with shadows chasing through
You reached out to me, I wasn’t the one
Facetime calls in the night, thought we were having fun
[Pre-Chorus:]
But it wasn’t the love, that you promised to share
Just moments of pleasure, while you laid me bare
Used me for your desires, thought I’d pretend
But I’ve changed the names to protect you in the end
[Chorus:]
I’m not obsеssed with you; it’s clear to see
You’re thе one chasing fantasies, not me
So please stop scrolling through my life on the screen
My name is Salty Vixen, but you don’t know what I mean
[Verse 2:]
Back in the ‘90s, when the world felt so cruel
Bullying shadows haunted me, made me feel like a fool
Complex PTSD, but I’m healing every day
Rising from the ashes, finding my own way
[Pre-Chorus:]
So let’s keep it real, and stop the charade
I’ve moved on to brighter days, don’t you feel afraid?
You wanted my attention, thought I’d be your game
But the story you’re chasing is leading to shame
[Chorus:]
I’m not obsessed with you; it’s clear to see
You’re the one chasing fantasies, not me
So please stop scrolling through my life on the screen
My name is Salty Vixen, but you don’t know what I mean
[Bridge:]
You think you can haunt me, but I’ve found my way out
Through the darkness and the pain, I’ve turned my life about
So take your memory and throw it into the sea
I’m embracing the future, I’m finally free
[Chorus:]
I’m not obsessed with you; it’s clear to see
You’re the one chasing fantasies, not me
So please stop scrolling through my life on the screen
My name is Salty Vixen, but you don’t know what I mean
[Outro:]
So here’s to new stories, to a life
