News was brought to Angelique
that Agrican had entered the city
She commanded Sacripant
to bring her Agrikhan's head.
Sacripant obeyed with glee
he saw this as his chance
to prove to Angelique
he was worthy of her love.
He searched the city streets
with scimitar in hand
intent on finding Agrikhan
and defeating him in battle
Sacripant met Agrikhan
on the Albracan streets
He attacked to prevent
his performing heroic feats
Agrikhan raised his sword
to block the scimitar swing
throughout the entire city
the clash of steel did ring.
The champions exchanged blows
steel against steel did bash
either rarely breaking through
to inflict a painful gash
But as hours wore on
they began to lax their guard
swords began to open wounds
both men were bleeding hard
Angelique surveyed the scene
Sacripant was growing weak
so she dispatched her thralls
to come to his aid
When Agrikhan saw them coming
he made his retreat
He ascended the walls
and lowered the drawbridge
What remained of his forces
now could make their escape
they retired to Agrican's camp
to regroup for another day
