and besiege the fortress
until she became his bride

to face conflict's pains

the prince of heathen Finns
added warriors to the host
to face grim battle's din
Messengers told Angelique
of the army near her borders
led by King Agrikhan
preparing to invade her country

her mother's sister's son
and sent him on a quest
to accomplish what must be done.
Beneath Albraca's foundations
lay many underground caves
one led to a dragon's lair
that dragon he must slay
From the dead dragon's mouth
he must pull the dragon's teeth
and bring them to Angelique
so Albraca might be saved.
Brandimart and his lady Fiodelise
prepared themselves to go on the quest
to save Albraca from Agrican's host
invading their country from the west
he took his sword, poisoned arrows and bow
and a large shield covered with cloth.
she took a lantern to guide their journey
through the underground caves they must cross
