[Intro]
Alex made a banger
[Verse 1: Alex L]
Hey you guys, wanna do something?
I'm free all week 'cause I'm doing nothing
Hope y'all doing about the same
Send a text to the group if you're down to hang
Now I frown in shame, it's an empty chat!
I'm about to break, it was bound to take a little while
But no one texts me back, I think I found the way to get them to react
Imma emphasize the message, maybe with a little aggression
Did you lose WiFi connection? Maybe you got ass reception?
Ask the question again, 'cause maybe you didn't see
There's no way you three are all busy!
But you are, pitching ideas to no catcher
It's been a really mid summer, I feel like Ari Aster
Can you please respond faster? Texted Owen, Nick, Asher
This whole summer has been a big disaster, yeah
[Chorus: Alex L]
Making plans, making plans
Is so hard when you got no friends
Can someone please pick up my call?
It's summertime, and I need you all
[Verse 2: Rampullyuh]
Sorry bro, I already made plans (yuh)
Got my new film, it's playing in Cannes (Scorsese)
Yeah, walkin' the carpet as I text this (yeah)
Oh, tomorrow? I'm going to Texas (yeehaw!)
Can't make it tonight, I'm boarding a flight
Can't do that day either, it's basically easter (egg)
I'm swinging with Jeter, I'm singing with Bieber
Got a hundred eight fever, can we take a breather?
I'm in Robert Downey Jr's house (Oppenheimer)
I'm busy so I can't go out
Yo trust me, I'm not free guys (Ryan)
I know you wanna eat fries (Reynolds)
But I'm receiving the Nobel peace prize (yeah)
Yeah, I'm getting it from Albert Einstein (Oppenheimer)
It's true, read it online
I'm running out of things to say (yeah)
I'm not free (woo!)
[Chorus: Rampullyuh]
Making plans, making plans
I just crashed my sedan (car noises)
I'm running out of lies
I don't wanna hang out with you guys
[Verse 3: Owen Parrott]
Check out my sweet kitty
Wait, are we going to the city?
No clue, people call me ditzy
Y'all see this new song by Mitski?
I would visit Chelsea, it's practically designed by DaVinci
Leonardo?
I could hardly know what's happening in this witty GC
Reminded of Last Night in Soho (oh!)
Matt Smith was in Doctor Who, oh (oh!)
My messages ain't going through, though (though!)
Bro, the WiFi is really slow now (no!)
Rebooting, waitin' on that blue glow
Modum
What's happening guys?
Hello?
Hold up hold up
What's happening? What's ha-
[Chorus: Owen Parrott]
Making plans, making plans
Shoot, I forgot my pants
It's so hard interacting
When all I see is distracting
[Verse 4: Asher DeVerna]
I’m on vacation (vacation!)
And for the duration
I don’t have time for these notifications
My patience (bruh) is running real thin
I’m trying to relax when I hear another (ding)
Everyone in the group chat needa chill (yuh)
It’s always 5 o'clock at Margaritaville (Eddy Burback yuh)
The only messages I’m lookin at are stuck in bottle
I'm California dreaming, sitting next to a model (who?)
In the middle of an In-N-Out, I’m flippin' out
'Cause all my friends are missin' out
'Cause I just met Margot Robbie (no way!)
And you know I had to say "Hey Barbie" (Hi Barbie!)
I’m hanging out my towels, not hanging out with you
You're sounding like an owl 'cause you're always saying "Who is free?" (who)
Not me (who)
So stop asking, 'cause you know I won't be!
[Chorus: Asher DeVerna]
Making plans, making plans
Usin' palm tree leaves as a fan
If you all came to Hollywood
And you asked to hang out, I probably would
[Outro]
Come on guys!
