Orchard Lyrics by The Active Set

11

2011

Life is long and I long for more to happen
My thoughts are fixed on another place, another time
In the orchard life was always simple
Boyhood antics and strong camaraderie
We were shameless and trouble was our business
What better way to spend an afternoon?
In the orchard, the shade it hid our secrets
A big mistake and our plans were up in smoke
Our cover blown, we moved on to greater mischief
Sirens sounded and brought down our reign of terror
As we ran across the field with pounding in our hearts
Our philosophy was simple: live to see another day
Fearful as we were and though our plans had failed
We lived in the extreme, there was nothing that could stop us
But life is not the same, the colors now are dull
These memories are pain and I'm trying to forget them
So burn this orchard down
