Only to collectively bear the rotten fruit of futile endeavour

We are become one with our adversaries

As one, we stare motionlessly into the void that lies beyond
The lingering, mindless thralls of an extraneous existence
So akin are we to the blood that rushes tirelessly through vessel and vein
The essence that innervates every outskirt of our being
Which buries itself in the smallest of capillariesAnd is perpetually dragged back through the most hollow of portals
All is one with the waters surging from the heavens
That flow through endlessly forked self-carved paths
The churning masses that invariably reconstitute the deepest of lakes
And the vastest of oceans below our sun
