I Will Not Deny Lyrics by Yvette Griggs

To Whom It May Concern

2021

[Verse 1]
When did you know that I would be Yours?
Was it in hindsight, what could it be?
Down to the altar I fall, my knees are planted at Your Grace
I thank You for loving me before I even came to You
[Post Chorus]
I am not ashamed, Lord, no I am not
What would I gain if I were?
The world is in turmoil, but that is sadly just fine
'Cause I'll be at Your mercy in the end
[Chorus]
Are You truly divine?
Will it be forever this time?
When I open my mouth to speak
That You are true and so is Your Word
Will my soul be at peace?
Just like you say in the book of Matthew?
'Cause I know that this promise rеmains
Just know I will not deny You at the worst
[Verse 2]
We arе in surrenderance, we worship You
The things in this world are only temporary
It's shameful that people can't see that You can outtake this misery
For we are broken, come take our hands
[Post Chorus]
I am not ashamed, Lord, no I am not
What would I gain if I were?
The world is in turmoil, but that is sadly just fine
'Cause I'll be at Your mercy in the end
[Chorus]
Are You truly divine?
Will it be forever this time?
When I open my mouth to speak
That You are true and so is Your Word
Will my soul be at peace?
Just like you say in the book of Matthew?
'Cause I know that this promise remains
Just know I will not deny You at the worst
[Bridge]
Could You come down?
Please come down to our presence, yeah
And let us realize
Our bodies are dust, but our souls remain
[Chorus]
Are You truly divine?
Will it be forever this time?
When I open my mouth to speak
That You are true and so is Your Word
Will my soul be at peace?
Just like you say in the book of Matthew?
'Cause I know that this promise remains
Just know I will not deny You at the worst
[Outro]
'Cause I know that this promise remains
Just know I will not deny You at the worst
