I Wanna Be You Lyrics by Mic Skills

Defiant (artist: Mic Skills)

2009

Verse 1 (Mic Skills):
If I wanna be you, and you wanna be me
Then I’m already who I wanna be, me
Not him, my friend, I’m the crème de la crème
The leader of the pack, being followed by the
See not one them’s heard, don’t be one of the herd/
They Just mimic my speech like tropical birds
Lack vision like they were born without optical nerves
You getting greedy like buying two and copping third
And Then copping a fourth
House so big standing on the porch, feels like you on top of a fort
In short, I respect the pavers of the way
The haters spending so much time hating on me they don’t save
I hope they gave up sleeping on me, wide a wake
Like a bad relationship, yo you gotta break
For Intermission, now watch me or watch my feet
Or watch both as I rock this beat
Hook (Mic Skills and Radremm):
A friend of mine is a friend in mind
A friend of need is a friend indeed
And now I see, As much as I wanna be like you
You wanna be like me, I wanna be like you
Verse 2 (Mic Skills):
You wanna be like me, I wanna be like you
I have couple reasons, I’ll give you more than a few
How you never lose direction with no GPS
And watch tv less, but still see BS
Stressed with the fakes, how are you real with it?
Impressed how you take it, but how do you live with it?
Living in the city, its crowded, I’m hounded
But I can Share this gift when my mind is clouded
Don’t doubt it, I’m bout it, you better keep in mind
Opportunity’s the room you might have to sneak inside
On the inside, the outlook is I belong there
Stress me all week, I’m strong there, I’m on there
Path to success, and I know I will not fail
But ready explode as a Molotov cocktail
And if The roof is on fire, let that mutha fucker burn
The hard way is the only way these mutha fuckers learn
Hook (Mic Skills and Radremm):
A friend of mine is a friend in mind
A friend of need is a friend indeed
And now I see, As much as I wanna be like you
You wanna be like me, I wanna be like you
Verse 3 (Radremm):
Hook (Mic Skills and Radremm):
A friend of mine is a friend in mind
A friend of need is a friend indeed
And now I see, As much as I wanna be like you
You wanna be like me, I wanna be like you
