Paper Towns
Q and his friends have finally solved the puzzle and have realized that the best place to look for Margoe is Agloe, NY. They set off on a 20-something hour road trip when they should be at graduation. It's all going well, with them taking turns driving, buying food and Radar planning everything, but then on the next day while Q is driving, he almost runs into a cow in the road. Ben saved all of them by turning the wheel and driving onto the shoulder of the road, and Q is the only one who's a little hurt. The beer in the trunk of the car has been broken open, and all four friends can hear it spilling out of the car. Ben thinks it's the oil, though, so he tries to run away, thinking that the car will explode.

Paper Towns
Radar and the rest of the group continue annoying Ben giving him hero worship, and the rest of the ride to Agloe is pretty uneventful. Soon they're there, and find Margo's car parked in front of a run-down barn. It turns out that she actually didn't want anyone to find her, and was very surprised when Q and the group come in. She argues a bit with Lacey, and then makes up with her on the phone when Q is the only one that stays with her in the barn to continue talking. Margo tells Q all about her plans for leaving and about her black notebook that she's been writing in since she was 10. They stay together a bit and decide to dig graves for the dead man they found when they were ten, and for the younger versions of Margo, Quentin, and Margo's dog that were all in Margo's story that she wrote when she was 10. When Margo drops off Q at the motel where everyone else is staying the night, Q feels like she's lying when she says she'll stay in touch. They kiss and the book ends.

Drawing a Dark Way
The group walks through the forest a bit, with Kenna leading the way to food and water. Naja now has someone else to hate in the group; Lenore. He finds the robot unnatural and compares it to the metal soldiers that work for the tyrant Dago. Soon it starts pouring rain, and Naja leads the way to a cave. They come to realize that they hadn't thought about the cave being dark. Jason, Kenna and Lenore soon become exhausted by following Naja through the cave, constantly hitting their bodies and scraping themselves. The animal bones aren't helping either. They find an open area and a spring in the cave and settle down for the night, since they have 2 more days in the cave system until they get out.

Drawing a Dark Way
The group has a couple more hours until they can get to the exit of the cave, but when Naja goes into a cavern small enough only for him to fill their water bottles, he gets bitten by a snake who's poison is only nullified by sunlight. Soon after, the flashlight goes out, and Kenna is out of commission alongside Naja. Jason is kneeling next to them when the person that has been following them for a while finally appears, a bald warrior with a tree branch that glows brighter whenever you break it in half. He leads them out, but the exit they go to has soldiers that capture them. The bald warrior tries to help him again, but he gets caught as well. At the holding cell, Jason is asked to talk to the general, where he tells him what he really is; a boy from the planet Earth.
