Circle of Fakes Lyrics by The Renfields

Vs. The Handbook For The Recently Horror Punk (Chapter 1)

2020

Like the Titanic!
Dressed up like the Nekromantix!
The last woahrah now who wan't to be, the last ghoul singing "Halloween" as we sink into the sea!
We built a wall around the scene and judged the rest!
Now we're all locked inside engaged in incest!
And every generation we spawn gets more retarded, a bastard counterfeit of what's been started!
It's the mindless act of selling out and buying in!
It's a scam and we've all fallen for the con!
But you can stamp it on a t-shirt and tattoo it on your arm, so everybody knows which side you're on
It's a circle of fakes - And everybody knows, that their unity and talk of scene is nothing but a show
It's a circle of fakes - And when it falls apart, looks like November's coming fire never even made a spark!
Creatively bankrupt! Tight jeans and Danzig Screams!
Punk rock faux pas, now who want's to be, the brand new darling of the scene? just get down on your knees!
When every band sound the same creates a stalemate!
An endless cycle filled with brain dead goons in skull paint!
It's like a legion filled with bootleg Michael Graves-es, who measure dicks to see who rules their self-made cages!
(INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE)
WE SHOULD BE ONE, NOT 138!
IT ALL AMOUNTS TO A CIRCLE OF FAKES!
