Scene Club Lyrics by The Renfields

Vs. The Handbook For The Recently Horror Punk (Chapter 1)

2020

There's a real cool club and I don't know how to find my way in
It's just like the Monster Squad but the monsters are the members and there all such good friends - But not with me
I don't understand, they've been in all my favorite bands
I even hung out in their van in 1998
It's not an act! It's true, in fact, I'd even sign a blood contract to be part of the horror punk elite
The scene club's the only place where you can be yourself!
And all you gotta do is be like everybody else
The scene club's a special club, where al your dreams come true!
And you won't be a part of it 'cause they're too cool for you!
The Scene Club
There's a real cool club, all I ever wanna be is one of them!
We could hang out at the mall just like Danzig in the 80's, way back when he was thin! But they can't see!
I'd do anything! How many GO's must one ghoul sing, before they stop and realize that I've got what it takes!
It's not an act! It's true, in fact, I'd even sign a blood contract to be part of the kingdom of the creeps!
The scene club's the only place where you can be yourself!
And all you gotta do is be like everybody else
The scene club's a special club, where al your dreams come true!
And you won't be a part of it 'cause...
LISTEN (Repeat verbatim at next horror punk gathering to gain favor) -
I'd sell 500 tickets just to share the stage!
Crowdfund your kickstart project just to discuss the old days!
I'd pay $100 dollars just for an autograph!
And use your lyrics as my epitaph!
Just to be part of the scene club like you!
We are the scene club and we're too cool for you!
